Google inc.

This week my group was taking about Google inc. Which was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1988. To be honest, it is not a long history company, but it is really successful. The company focuses on Web Search, Mobile, News, Translate, Blog Search, Image Search, Google

Chrome, Drive, Groups, Alerts and Code. Google’s mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. In other words, to make people feel relax and enjoyable when they surf the internet, what’s more, provide the best tool for customers.

As far as i have concerned, the reason for Google can become one of the most successful company can be divided into two parts. One is organizational structure, another one is creativity staff. In terms of organizational structure, Google is formal decentralization structure. Decentralization means empower the employee to make their own decision rather than base on what leaders ask them to do. This kind of structure can give staff confident because they can find their own value. Not only to listen others, but also can make a suggestion. Surprisingly, Google requires that each employee spend 20% of their time per week to think about their own ideas about their work and do what they want do. As a result, when you work in Google, you can extremely feel that you are the important part of this company. Despite of this, Google is a flat organization. People from different departments will be work together to share their ideas and experiences which can strength staff’s communication skill and team spirit. However, their also have weakness. People will be work together because of one special product which would make employee feel confused because they may not clear about who they need to report. This will lead the relationship become complex.

As we all know that people are the common feature in each organizations. In Google company, employee must be creativity and imagination. As Google inc. is grow base on internet, but nobody know how internet will become tomorrow. Therefore, only imagination can work in this particular position to say how they think and do what they want.
